Background

Jennifer is a Manager on Grant Thornton (Cayman) LLP’s Advisory team in the Cayman Islands, specialising in Business Risk Services. With over 20 years’ experience, she is a Certified Internal Auditor and delivers internal audits for clients including IT and compliance audits, in addition to consulting services that involve governance reviews, enterprise risk management, and business continuity management.​

Experience

Jennifer began her career as an accountant and later joined the audit practice at a Big-4 firm in Canada. Jennifer then worked in the public sector as an internal auditor for eight years before returning to risk advisory at Big-4 firms in Canada. ​ 
She joined Grant Thornton (Cayman) LLP in 2024 and is responsible for the delivery of internal audits and enterprise risk management engagements and supports our audit team in testing IT general controls. 

Industry experience

During her career in professional services, Jennifer has worked with clients in various industries such as oil & gas, utilities, government and financial services. Specifically at GT Cayman, Jennifer has worked with clients in the insurance and re-insurance sector, as well as clients providing governance and fund administration services, brokerage services, and fiduciary services. Her experience includes the delivery of internal audits along with consulting services that involve governance reviews, enterprise risk management, and business continuity management.​
