Background
Cait is a Senior Manager on Grant Thornton (Cayman) LLP's Asset Management team in the Cayman Islands. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is responsible for the management of her teams to ensure a quality client experience along with efficient and timely delivery of audit outputs.
Experience
Cait graduated from University College Cork, with a BSc in Finance. She then continued her studies at the University of Edinburgh where she graduated in 2014. Cait started her professional career in 2014 with a Big 4 audit firm in Dublin, Ireland. During her training there she gained experience working on a varied portfolio, specializing in private equity and investment management clients within the wealth and asset management sector.
Cait has reporting experience under United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards, including FRS 101 and 102. She has in depth knowledge of the various accounting frameworks and their application to different company structures and strategies.
Industry experience
Cait’s client base had a particular focus on US clients. As part of her experience, she undertook project management of ETF listings, including, performing detailed technical reviews of investment valuations as well as financial statements, and overseeing the uplift of AICPA audits to PCAOB standard.
Her current clients include hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity funds, and mutual funds. Cait’s responsibilities in terms of audit deliverables also include coordinating both onshore and offshore audits.
