Grant Thornton announces office expansion in Grand Cayman
1 June 2021
Global audit, tax and advisory firm Grant Thornton is pleased to announce that as of May 2021, its two member firms located in the Cayman Islands have come together to share their physical office space. Together, both firms employ over 75 people, with plans to increase to 100 before the end of the year. They also have a very dynamic graduate program that combines professional development and academic support that is geared towards developing many Caymanian students into young professionals.
Grant Thornton Cayman Islands – a firm set up in 1978 to offer professional services to the local market, expanded their physical space in Cricket Square to welcome the additional 25 staff of Grant Thornton Specialist Services (Cayman) Limited (GTSS).
‘As we share a brand name, it is important we have a clear message to the local market, and moving under one roof made obvious sense’, commented Dara Keogh, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Cayman Islands. ‘We are delighted to welcome our colleagues at GTSS to Cricket Square and look forward to the working relationship ahead.’
GTSS – the on-island insolvency and restructuring business of the global brand – enjoyed ten years at their Camana Bay premises before welcoming a move into a state-of-the-art renovated space at Cricket Square earlier this month.
‘Our team is very excited to be in the heart of Cayman business at Cricket Square and thank Dara and his team for opening up the opportunity to us’, said Margot MacInnis, Managing Director of GTSS. ‘Whilst we remain two separate member firms of the Grant Thornton network, we are hopeful that bringing both teams under one roof will foster collaboration and support joint initiatives for our staff moving forward’.
Both Grant Thornton member firms can now be reached at:
